Apple officially releases iOS 6.1!

Wow folks, the day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Apple has just officially released iOS 6.1 to the public! Many of us had predicted that the iOS 6.1 beta 5 that was released last Saturday was indeed the GM, but none of us could have seen a public release this soon. But after nearly three months of betas, it’s finally here. Head inside for the full change log:

The update contains the following new features and improvements:

§  LTE support for more carriers (complete list of supported carriers at www.apple.com/iphone/LTE)

§  Purchase movie tickets through Fandango with Siri (USA only)

§  iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud

§  New button to reset the Advertising Identifier

The most exciting thing about this update is that the jailbreak is right around the corner now. The evad3rs jailbreak team has been patiently waiting for this release before finalizing the jailbreak, so they may finally be able to complete it now. So now the question becomes, when is the jailbreak coming?
