One of the companies that is rapidly growing and is bringing some really nice devices to the market is the Huawei. This Chinese company has delivered Huawei Ascend P1 to the U.S. market that is now available on Amazon for 449.99 $ unlocked and with free shipping.
We are expecting to see some great additions to the market from Huawei that will be presented at the CES 2013. Among those is the Ascend Mate that is reported to have a large 6.1 inch screen and 1080p resolution while the Ascend D2 will be offered with a 5 inch screen and a high 1080p resolution. It is expected that both will be driven by Qualcomm quad core processors but at this moment it is not known will they be delivered to the U.S. market.
Lets go back to Huawei Ascend P1. This device comes in a mid segment and brings quite capable 4.3 inch screen with a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels which translates into 254 ppi of pixel density. Technology used for creation of this display is Super AMOLED and we can expect to see some great looking images on this cell phone.
Under the hood we have a TIOMAP 4460 chipset with a dual core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1 GB of RAM which means that this smartphone will not lack of power when needed. For more demanding graphics in games and applications there is a PowerVR SGX540 GPU to help out.
Internal storage offers 4 GB of space and can be expanded with a microSD card up to 32 GB. Among other features we have a main 8 megapixel camera that is capable of capturing 1080p video recordings while on the front there is a 1.3 megapixel unit for video chat and self portraits. One of the things that concerns many is the battery of 1670 mAh but we are pretty sure that it is quite capable to deliver enough power for whole day. Since it offers smaller battery it is possible to reduce the thickness of the devices so we are getting 7.68 mm thick case.
Specifications are quite outdated when compared with current flagships that we have on market but that is because this device was launched all the way back in early 2012. It came to china in April and to the Europe in June.
